Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FrameLab at useframelab.com ("Service"), operated by FrameLab ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

FrameLab provides browser-based tools to add white borders, decorative EXIF captions, and related export presets for social posting. Pro workflow features (additional export presets, etc.) require an account and may require a paid subscription.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You must provide accurate information when signing in through a supported OAuth provider. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Free. Includes unlimited white-border exports, decorative EXIF captions, and Original plus Instagram 4:5 export as described on our pricing page.

Pro. FrameLab Pro is billed monthly (currently USD $2.99/month, subject to change with notice). Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. By subscribing, you also agree to Creem's applicable checkout terms. You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

You retain ownership of photos and other content you upload or process. You grant us a limited license to transmit content only as needed to provide the Service — for example, generating a framed export in your browser or on our servers when you use export APIs.

You represent that you have the rights to use and process any content you submit, and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, authentication, or security measures
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service without permission
• Upload malware or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Upload, generate, process, display, or distribute sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise NSFW visual content through any part of the Service — including photo upload and white-border framing

FrameLab is intended for everyday photography and social posting only. We do not permit adult, sexually explicit, or NSFW imagery. We may remove access and report abuse for violations of this policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

FrameLab's name, logo, software, and site design are our property or our licensors'. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or underlying code except as needed to use the Service as intended.

Camera and phone brand names and logos shown in exported images are trademarks of their respective owners. FrameLab reads embedded EXIF metadata from your photos to display the shooting device name and optional brand mark as decorative information only. This does not imply sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation with any camera or phone manufacturer. You decide whether to include brand marks in your exports and are responsible for how you publish the resulting images.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRAMELAB AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of FrameLab, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction where the operator is established, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
